The claim behind this diet is that drinking 64 ounces of COLD water in addition to your regular diet will help you burn more calories. The explanation is that the cold water chills your body and uses extra calories trying to stay warm. While water is necessary and 8 glasses of water certainly isn’t bad for you, don’t expect to lose any more weight than you would if you were drinking luke warm water.
